Overview

Fresh from touring natural wine bars in Paris, expats Emma Ogilvie and Nick Landsman are bringing their restaurant pop-up La Pêche (translating as 'the peach') to Auckland for a two-week run.

While falling under the pair's French Fried banner, they suggest it's "not French food as you know". The pop-up will offer "neo-bistro-style" cuisine, serving up seasonal shared plates matched with natural wines and sour and barrel aged beers courtesy of K' Road's Lovebucket. The first mouthwatering menu drop features everything from oeufs farces (French stuffed eggs) to free-range chicken livers, fresh buffalo cheese, beef bourguignon and ganache au chocolate.

Only around from May 22-31, the restaurant's menu will change depending on market availability and whim. Booking is recommended — you can do so by reaching out on Facebook — though there will be a section set aside for walk-ins each night.
