Overview
Pronounced 'lay-nee', LANY has announced their New Zealand debut, playing one show at Auckland's Powerstation on Wednesday 26 July.
The LA-based trio is best known for their song 'ILYSB (I Love You So Bad)', which has now achieved over 50 million plays on Spotify. Incredibly, in less than three years LANY have gone from releasing two songs online 'for fun' to gaining praise from vocal wonder Sam Smith— in part responsible for their meteoric rise. Now, after the release of two albums with Polydor Records and sharing the stage alongside Ellie Goulding, the group's aim of taking their music across LA and New York is a reality.
Their style is a mixture of '80s pop, '90s R&B and atmospheric synths that float through your head like a dream. Having sold 35,000 tickets across their last 117 shows, this is a gig you shouldn't wait around to purchase.
