Alternative acoustic-folk group, Mali Mali are set to perform at Cityside Baptist Church this month.

The Auckland band have released their debut album 'Gather 'round the Gooseclock', following their EP 'Brotherly' three years ago, available for free download on Bandcamp. The group cite their influences as The National, Sigur Ros and Bon Iver, with a melting pot of raw, soft and powerful sounds.

Mali Mali are named after Ben Tolich's nickname from his grandfather being 'Mali', meaning small boy, as well as also being 'smile' in Tongan.

Catch Mali Mali before they enter the realms of super stardom.
