Overview

Dust off that old leather jacket or swing-skirt — the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) is bringing 1950s cinema back to Western Springs. Every Friday and Saturday from 19 June to 1 August, the Museum will erect the largest outdoor screen in the country for a proper drive-in movie experience.

The Museum's last drive-in experience sold out well in advance of the start date, so you won't want to miss out. The lineup for the first weekend will see Quentin Tarantino's American revisionist western Django Unchained (Friday, 27 June) and computer-animated comedy The Lego Movie (Saturday, 27 June) play out under the stars. Thereafter, Friday nights at the drive-in will be reserved for the adults, while the entire gang will be invited to pack in the car for earlier Saturday screenings.

To complete the drive-in experience, MOTAT is throwing down the whole shebang, including street food which will be available via pre-order for vehicle delivery. General admission is $30 per car.
