Overview

Auckland's Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) conjures up images of fun for all ages and the perfect spot to take the kids on a rainy weekend. While this is the case for most of the year, for one night only, MOTAT will have you saying WTF?!

A strictly adults-only event, WTF?! covers arts, science, technology, food and entertainment across one September evening, all with an unconventional twist. MOTAT invites you to indulge your sense of curiosity and wonder with this utterly eccentric event. Sure to challenge your preconceptions, the museum will be transformed into a visual feast with lighting, projections and roving musicians and artists evoking a mysterious dark carnival atmosphere.

2018 crowd favourites Naked Girls Reading will be back, with new members stepping into their empowering lineup. Mainstage burlesque, dance and experimental theatre will run throughout the evening pushing audiences to their sensory limits, while ticket holders can get involved in everything from bondage lessons to axe throwing and something called 'tackling the slippery pig'.

There will be no reason to leave with two on-site bars offering deliciously on-theme cocktails and unusual appetizers for the brave.

Organisers are quick to point out that this is not for the faint-hearted, nor is this your average night at the museum. You have been warned — now grab your tickets for this interactive and provocative event.
