Music in Parks: Auckland Jazz Orchestra
A collective of some of Auckland's best musicians.
Overview
Auckland's regional parks and reserves will play host to a wide range of musical acts this summer as part of Auckland Council's Music in Parks series. Events will run from Saturday 11 January through to Sunday 23 March.
On Sunday 9 February the Auckland Jazz Orchestra will set up shop in Auckland Domain's Band Rotunda.
The orchestra was founded in 2009 and perform a repertoire of original compositions and arrangements, as well as performing with guest artists ranging in styles and genres. It draws from a collective of Auckland’s best musicians including tertiary graduates, teachers and music professionals.
