Nanam x The Cult Project
A pop-up breakfast shining a light on traditional Filipino food, culture and identity.
Overview
A pop-up breakfast shining a light on traditional Filipino food, culture and identity is coming to life at Nanam for one morning only.
Bringing together the most exciting contemporary Asian artists in our city, the third pop-up series from Satellites is art in its most delicious form. Taking place at Takapuna's Nanam, it will see owner and chef Jessabel Granada teaming up with The Cult Project's Carlo Buenaventura. Showcasing a traditional breakfast and its significance for the chefs, this won't be your everyday morning of eggs on toast.
Collaborating with Filipino illustrator Marc Conaco, the heart of this breakfast pop-up is the intimate stories told live by each artist, sharing the special relationship they have to each dish. Dig into some traditional Filipino breakfast food like sikwate, pan de siosa and kape at sinangang served up by some of Auckland's trailblazers in Filipino cuisine.
