The national orchestra tips its hat to the largest celebration of science fiction and pop culture.
Overview
Playfully known as a 'geek festival', Comic Con is one of the largest celebrations of science fiction, fantasy, graphic novels and popular culture in New Zealand. As part of its 2018 season, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra will perform a special Comic Con-themed concert presenting some of the most popular music from television, film and video games. Led by NZSO Associate Conductor Hamish McKeich, the one-off event will include composer Ramin Djawadi's music from the hit series Game of Thrones and Alexander Courage's theme from Star Trek.
