Overview

What is better than looking at artist Joseph Michael's breathtaking series of New Zealand landscapes? Soaking them in as you devour a delectable five course meal and a cocktail or two. This one-of-a-kind pop-up dining experience aims to bring the rugged kiwi meal indoors with Michael’s Dark Cloud/White Light time lapse films serving as the ultimate backdrop.

To match these wild landscapes, Pop Dining has curated a spectacularly rustic menu including local seafood canapés, a NZ Charcuterie board and a Dargaville Casserole of kumara, apricots, pork and watercress. The main event – Goat wellington with truffled crepe, mushrooms and spinach with roast fennel salad, green beans and duck fat potatoes, from Dariush Lolaiy of Cazador Restaurant, will no doubt have you licking your lips and there will be something sweet to finish from Gianpaolo Grazioli of Giapo.

In true Kiwi style this is a BYO event… with a twist. When you book a seat, you'll be sent a list suggesting beverages to bring so a professional barman can shake up some creative Kiwiana cocktails for liquor lovers and teetotallers alike. Expect rustic long tables and bench seats amongst the incredible time lapse films and music by Sarah Rauch for the multi-course menu which will be served family style at large in Silo 6.
