Overview

If you haven't yet experienced the art of raclette, let us enlighten you about the world of melty cheesy heaven. Hailing from the mountainous alpine regions of Switzerland and France, the dining experience involves melting and pouring semi-hard cheese onto platters of boiled potatoes, vegetables and charcuterie. The emphasis is on relaxed and sociable eating and drinking, with the meal often spread across several hours.

O'Connell Street's Le Chef will host a dedicated raclette night on Tuesday, 27 August. Across two sessions (6pm and 9pm), diners will be presented with their own serving of hot, melty raclette cheese to smother atop charcuterie and an unlimited supply of potatoes and salad. An accompanying list of beverages will be available from the Le Chef bar — a popular French option is to serve it with white wine.

The experience is available for groups of six people with a maximum of ten. $40 per person. Bookings are mandatory via Le Chef.
