Overview

Returning for the seventh year running, your chance to spy behind the shiny red fence at the Ports of Auckland's SeePort Festival is coming this Auckland Anniversary Weekend. The event is a three-day extravaganza from 25– 27 January celebrating Tamaki Makaurau's waterfront and maritime heritage.

Jump on the train to downtown Britomart and explore the festival's offerings. Get amongst the live music, carnival rides, stalls and affordable food. Some of the main highlights each year are the tours hosted on and off the water. Boat sailings, helicopter rides are up for grabs.

The festivities ramp up to a free concert from 5pm on Sunday. The Auckland Symphony Orchestra perform at 7pm. BYO alcohol is permitted, but only in small quantities. This is more of a family event than a rave. Sunday night will close with Ports of Auckland's highly anticipated fireworks display which is guaranteed to impress.

SeePort aims to be waste free, keep your eyes peeled for the zero waste ambassadors onsite for tips on how to participate. Head to the SeePort website for the full schedule of activities. No tickets are required for the long weekend's celebrations.
