Kick ye tired ole feet back in the golden afternoon sun and enjoy Shoreside Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park.
Back for its 24th season, a company of professional and community actors, crew and supporters are set to stage two Shakespeare favourites — As You Like It and Macbeth. The plays are performed on alternate nights until mid-February. Choose your favourite, or head on down to both, but make sure you book in early.
The performances will be at the outdoor amphitheatre location beside The Pumphouse in Takapuna.
Whether it's date night or mate night, bring your blankets and cushions to cosy on up as the sun sets. Seating isn't allocated so be sure to head down early to nab a good spot. The French Rendez-vous Cafe satellite bar will be open, so you can enjoy a drink before the show. A good old Kiwi sausage sizzle will be providing the snacks at intermission — talk about a night at the theatre.
