Overview

The nation’s forefathers of rock, Shihad most recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their second album Killjoy with a re-mastered reissued version on vinyl. The album was the band's first to be certified gold in New Zealand, and according to sources, has received the tick of approval from both Iggy Pop and US hard rock band Metallica.

Like they’ve done in the past, most recently with their explosive ninth album FVEY, Shihad will take the stage to play the album in its entirety. The gig at Auckland’s Powerstation will see the four-piece rip through the iconic album from fierce opener ‘You Again’ through singles ‘Bitter', ‘Gimme Gimme', ‘Deb's Night Out’ and everything in between.

This year will also mark the 27th anniversary of the band since they developed a mutual love of of Metallica and Megadeth at Wellington High School. Since then they’ve released nine albums, won multiple NZ music awards and conquered speaker stacks at venues across the world.
