The only film festival you won't need to commit hours to, Show Me Shorts is perfect for those with a short attention span and an even shorter lunch break. The festival is back with a diverse and exciting range of new short films from creators all over the globe.

Show Me Shorts is our country's leading short film festival, bringing this celebration of creative talent to cinemas each spring. Various cinemas around Auckland will  be hosting this must-see festival. From thousands of submissions, a cleverly curated program will be showing from 6–16 October in Auckland Central to 19–23 October in Matakana, and everywhere else in between. 

With the aim to connect Kiwis to the best short films from all over the world, Show Me Shorts is a festival full of diversity and new ideas. You can expect to find anything from horror, drama and animation to comedy and doco film. Each film will give the audience a chance to escape into new worlds, learn more, laugh more and appreciate the magic of short films.
