Sidart Turns 10

Overview

The establishment named Supreme Winner at Metro's 2018 Restaurant of the Year awards is set to celebrate its tenth birthday this September.

Sidart is the brainchild of restauranteurs Sid and Chand Sahrawat. Found in Three Lamps, Ponsonby, the fine dining restaurant takes guests on a "culinary voyage" across the country, showcasing the best of New Zealand produce from olive oil to salt, wasabi and chocolate.

To mark ten years of innovative fine dining, chef Sahrawat and his team are preparing a one-off lunch on Sunday, 15 September. The kitchen will serve up canapés and a five-course tasting menu, including some of Sahrawat's favourite modern Indian dishes. Guests will also receive koha box to take home featuring ghost chilli pickle and Sidart's sourdough.

The restaurant is celebrating further by introducing an à la carte menu. A selection of snacks, main dishes and desserts will be on offer, including aged duck and carrot halwa, confit mandarin, dulce de leche.
