Overview

The Intouchables will be screening at Silo Park this Friday as part of their weekly rotation of cinematic offerings.

The Intouchables is a 2011 French comedy-drama film directed by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano, which garnered critical applause following its festival circuit. The film stars François Cluzet and Omar Sy and tells the tale of a rich quadriplegic, living in a mansion in Paris, who requires a live-in carer. A young offender turns up for an interview, with no intention of taking a job. To his surprise, he is hired. The two men then develop a close friendship. The film has received several award nominations. In France, the film was nominated for eight César Awards and earned Omar Sy the César Award for Best Actor.

The film will take on a whole new scale at the Silo Cinema, where it will be are projected onto the side of Silo 7 to create a magical open-air movie theatre in a picturesque outdoor setting on the waterfront, complimented by the hustle and bustle of the Silo Markets that take place on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.
