Overview
As part of an eleven-week programme the performing arts showcase Pick and Mix is bringing a range of events to the Aotea Centre. This week its the South Auckland Poets Collective's turn to challenge and inspire. You might think you're not a fan of poetry but listening to a spoken word poet really is an entirely different thing. Some poems were never meant to be read. These ones were only ever meant to be heard live.
After the hour-long performance there will be a workshop where you can create a short poem. If you're game, you can then bring it to life and test your performance poet skills while you are at it.
The session will be held in the Level 5 foyer of the Aotea Centre.
