Overview

What do you get when you cross a non-auditioned community choir and 90s rock? Robin Kelly's Stimmung Choir of course.

Back at Q Theatre for the fourth time this December, the concert brings together community singers hailing from Mt Albert, first rate musicians and guest artists. Together they will pay tribute to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, the popular double rock album from the Smashing Pumpkins. The album, released in October 1995, received critical acclaim and was the band's only album to top the Billboard 200 charts.

The ensemble promises to bring a touch of nostalgia, a hearty dose of musicality, high energy and a few surprises along the way to the December event. Past performances by Stimmung includes Radiohead's Hail to the Thief, Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf and original music from director Robin Kelly.

Previous events welcomed guests Ria Hall, Laughton Kora, Paul Mclaney and Troy Kingi. Tickets start at $25 for groups and $35 for a full price ticket. The show commences at 7:30pm.
