Overview

Discover some of the best street art on display in the CBD 'open air gallery' with international graffiti artist WERT 159.

The Art Week walking tour will cover various sites around the ever colourful K Road.  Your knowledgeable guide, Misha Uteev (aka Wert159), offers a fresh perspective on the wall art of K Road and insight into the technical aspects of stencilling and spray painting.

WERT 159 is an international artist whose work has graced walls around the world—in his native Russia, across Europe and of course here in Aotearoa. A participant in the first Secret Walls X Aotearoa battle, Misha draws inspiration from many facets of life, but a love of portrait photography lies at the heart of his work. Over his seven years of painting, Misha's work has moved through various phases, from simple line drawings to life-like portraits to the complex integrations of faces and graffiti that now characterise his style.
