Overview

The highlight of the Auckland Pride Festival for many, The Big Gay Out is a cracking day out for all.

Now in its 14th year, this big gay day in the park is a cornerstone event on Auckland’s festival calendar. The  main stage will feature performances by Kids of 88, Brooke Duff and Maree Sheehan, along with loads of community acts, including Buckwheat, Cindy of Samoa, Miss Ribena, Buffy & Bimbo, Miz Ima Starr, Sharvelle Poissonnier, LA Thompson, Pope Bron$, Jodi Pringle and more.

Coyle Park will be filled with more than 80 market stalls offering everything from food and retail to sexual health information and support. The beer garden and the dance tent will be pumping as always and there will also be plenty to entertain the kids with face painters and performers.

If you need transport from the city, Get it On! Big Gay Out buses will be departing from outside Family Bar on K Road to Coyle Park every 20 minutes from 11.30am – with the last bus returning from Coyle Park at 8pm. Bus fares are only $2 each way.
