Bargain hunting fashionistas mark your calendars for The Designer Pop-Up Sale, formerly known as the Designer Garage Sale. The sale is back and it's as fabulously frugal as ever.

Being held once gain upstairs at the Viaduct Events Centre on September 1 and 2, this is the ideal way to wrap up the most trendy of weeks, New Zealand Fashion Week. Secure some premier New Zealand designer duds at anything from 30 to 90 percent off the original retail price.

This year the brands involved in the sale are Flo & Frankie, Federation, Contain Boutique, Hudson, Stitch Ministry, Hailwood, Julian Danger, Long & Short, Be Mae Shoes, Rebe, Emma Ford Swimwear, Pedro's Bluff, Tosca & Salome and Simma Studios.

Mercy Hospice Auckland — who this year have a show at Fashion Weekend — will also have a stand at the pop-up with all proceeds going to support the charity.

Though additional discounts will be added on Sunday, this is definitely an event where the early fashionista catches the best threads. If you're a serious bargain hunter consider a VIP ticket which will give Saturday shoppers early entry at 9am which means an hour head start on the general public.
