Overview

With Aldous Harding, Nadia Reid and Marlon Williams all making names for themselves on the international stage, it's fair to say that folk music is back in a big way and New Zealand has a fertile local scene.

To celebrate, the Great New Zealand Folk Revival is happening at the Tuning Fork on 26 July. Featuring Tui-award winners Albi and the Wolves, Scottish-Wellington hybrid The Frank Burkitt Band and Taranaki lad Ben Dixon, it will be a night of storytelling, community and great music.

Ranging from traditional fare to dalliances with neighbouring styles, it will showcase a style that is both timely and timeless. Pop along for a folking good time.
