Overview
Progressive indie rock group The Phoenix Foundation are set to play at the Powerstation as part of their album release tour for their latest offering 'Fandango'.
The double album was recorded at five studios throughout New Zealand over a 15 month long period. The Guardian (UK) described the live show as being 'on a spectrum between Spinal Taps Jazz Odyssey and David Lynch (in the best possible way)'. The release has been dubbed 'expansive, ambitious and gloriously rich'.
The Wellington group are fresh from an lengthy tour throughout Europe and the UK. Support for all shows are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Other accomplishments of the group include film soundtracks for Eagle vs Shark and Boy.
