Overview

A bit of madness for your Monday. If there ever was a musical that never gets old it's The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  The classic you'd normally have to rummage through the $3 a week section at your local video store for will be back on the big screen for one night only at Westfield, St Lukes.

The film is an adaptation of the famous stage musical written by Richard O'Brien. It is a famous parody of B grade movies, science fiction and horror films of the late 1940s through to the 1970s. The flick became a total hit with audiences, gaining notoriety as a 'midnight movie' when cinema goers started getting up from their seats and getting down to The Time Warp and Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me. In 2005 it landed a place in cinematic history by being selected for preservation by the National Film Registry. So to see it again on the big screen is a definitely something of a Transylvanian treat.

Follow Brad and Janet on a stormy November evening when their car tyre goes flat and the only refuge is an eery nearby castle. As they stumble upon the Annual Transylvanian Convention things start to get a little bit weird - and for the audience, the hilarity begins.

It's low budget, a bit of a freak show, has a total cult following and is rather potty  - so all in all, the perfect mix for a verified classic.  A sure fire way to rev up your week with something a bit different, because in true Rocky Horror manner "a mental mind f* can be nice."
