Overview

Unknown Mortal Orchestra will play two New Zealand shows in January 2013, ahead of their support slot for Weezer on January 11th. The fact that they're opening for Weezer is pretty damn cool in itself, but if you can't get along to that gig, then it's just as well they've decided to be good and throw a headlining party for themselves at Cassette.

The show is part of 'Wrangler presents: Summer of MUM', a series of shows at Cassette sponsored by Wrangler over summer. What's more, with wallets feeling rather light over the celebration season, the gig's only $10. No qualms with that.

Having recently signed to Jagjaguwar for the 2013 release of their second album, the group's really strengthening their presence in the music scene. Unknown Mortal Orchestra will be performing songs from their debut album as well as unreleased material.

Come build some islands in the sky and meet the smiling alligator with Unknown Mortal Orchestra. And if that didn't make any sense to you, get on YouTube, you'll get it.
