Overview

Indigenous gender politics, loss, relationships, tribal identity and transformation are explored in Tipare's multimedia show as part of the Matariki Festival.

A writer, music artist, director, multi-media visual curator, activist, photographer, Paul Casserly once wrote that Tipare's world is full of music, hip hop, culture and politics, check out her latest exhibition to see where she's heading.

Tipare's timing to release this series of photographs, moving image, poetry and sound was not random, with the artist recognising the symbolism of Matariki and new beginnings.
