Overview

The idyllic beauty of Waiheke Island has always attracted those with several million to spend on a holiday home, those escaping the rush of the city, and artists who relish the beauty and solitude of the island and use it to fuel their creativity. So from June 4 - 6 the Waiheke Community Art Gallery is offering an opportunity to gain insight into the lives and creative processes of great Kiwi artists, in a tour behind the scenes of over 30 studios and galleries.

This is a chance to see the environments in which real art is created and to talk one-on-one with the creators to gain insight into their processes and inspirations. After a day chatting, roaming the island and taking in the best creativity it offers, wine and cheese will be served at the Community Gallery as they auction off the local works of art at a steal. There are several tour options available, from self-guided to all inclusive, so grab yourself a ticket and soak up some culture in paradise.
