Overview

This Wednesday WAV exhibition opens at the Audio Foundation, behind St Kevin's arcade on K'Road with Dawn Marble, Rado Z (SVK), Daif King, Ben Clement and Chris Cudby - and includes an Afrika Pseudobruitismus screening called Brana, Calypso and Dendrita.

Brana, Calypso, Dendrita is a triple-screen video work using the sounds of Moroccan psychedelic musician Afrika Pseudobruitismus as a compositional tool providing cues to three contributing directors - left screen: Darío Peña, center screen: Stanley Sunday, right screen: Dostopos, with the original idea coming from David Domingo (Stanley Sunday).

The group exhibition of local and international artists explores contemporary notions of liquidity & transparency - like post-post-object art, 'the science of flow, fluidity and freshness' (Adam Harper) or 'some kind of DJ Spooky-esque mixtape/playlist analogy'.

WAV is an exhibition of both new and previously exhibited works, and has something for everyone, featuring a combination of video, sculpture, painting and clothing/textiles.

Curated by Chris Cudby, the event is free to the public.
