Overview
After a 8 year hiatus, The St James Theatre will be re-opened with the popular club night Weird Night Out on Saturday, May 2 2015.
Those who remember the St James raves of the mid noughties will have fond memories of getting lost amongst the corridors of the cultural icon, and with its return, we could expect to see a tonne of retired ravers coming back out of the wood work, along with the new of course.
When the St James first opened in 1927, it hosted a range of travelling vaudeville acts and you could say its return is not to dissimilar. Performers announced include modern day vaudevillian acts such as Weird Together, P Money, The Peace Keepers, HIGH HØØPS, Kamandi, Race Banyon, Thomston, & Aaron Azbo Hinks, with more to be announced as it no doubt gains momentum. One would expect the normal Weird Night Out trickery including hidden rooms, silent discos and other quirky activations.
Well done to those working behind the scenes to bring back the St James. We certainly look forward to paying our respects to the old boy come May 2.
