Overview

The days of watching flicks outside in short sleeves might be over, but Mission by the Beach is set to keep the idea of openair cinema alive this winter with its new dinner and a movie experience.

Wild Valley Seaside Cinema will pop up at Mission Bay's iconic stone building every Friday from 7 June to 5 July offering a selection of handpicked movies, including 2018's comedy knockout The Breaker Upperers, a documentary about New York's most notorious nightclub, and the story of much-loved Japanese dot artist Yayoi Kusama.

The $40 ticket price includes a glass of Stoneleigh's Wild Valley wine on arrival, a dinner box themed to the movie from the Mission kitchen, popcorn and entry to the film screening. The bistro will also do its bit to ward off the wintry chill with outdoor heaters and blankets.
