Overview

Themed high teas are becoming all the rage; Hotel Debrett has a roaring 1920s-themed version complete with a 'flappers and dappers' dress code, Cordis is running a series of whimsical sessions channelling the magic of Disney, and now Stamford Plaza is bringing back its afternoon dedicated to wizards, witches, goblins and muggles.

Back by popular demand, on 8 December the inner city hotel will transform its afternoon sipping session into a magical high tea. The theme is loosely set in the world of Harry Potter, and ticket holders will enjoy a butterbeer cocktail (or mocktail) on arrival.

To follow will be a tiered feast of gastronomic magic including Dobby's Herb Focaccia, Thunderbolt Green Eggs and Ham, Mrs Weasley's Scones, Hedwig's Popping Red Velvet Cupcakes, Muggle Strawberry Cheesecake and Vera Verto Frogs Stuck in Mud. A selection of tea and coffee will be available to wash it all down.

Dressing up as your favourite wizardry character is highly encouraged, and to complete the immersive experience will be wand making, face painting and a magician for the little ones (and the kidults). Find tickets here.

Special dietary requests should be made when booking.
