Overview

Following the success of Medusa, Power Ballad and If There's Not Dancing at the Revolution, I'm Not Coming, award-winning performer Julia Croft and Director Nisha Madhan join forces once more at Basement Theatre.

Their latest offering is called Working on My Night Moves. Similar to their aforementioned efforts, music, theatre and movement shapeshift to create this otherworldly performance which was originally devised at Battersea Arts Centre in London.

Between March 6-23, audiences can bear witness to a performance that promises to "break the rules, the patriarchy and the time-space continuum" while exploring what multiple feminist sci-fi utopias might look like. The performance was feted in the United Kingdom, where it received a five star review from The Link, describing Working on My Night Moves as "a brilliant mash-up of flesh, sonics and text (5 stars)."

Don't miss the opportunity to catch this provocative performance by some of New Zealand's finest theatrical talents. Tickets range between $25 and $30.
