The month-long food gala returns with long lunches, intimate dining experiences and price point menus.
UPDATED 31 August, 2020: With Auckland currently in Alert Level 2.5, Restaurant Month 2020 has been extended until 30 September. The series of Chef's Table events have been postponed, however visitors to the city centre can still enjoy over 140 special menus at four set price points: $15 and less, $25, $40 and $55+.

The time is nigh to put your diet on hold and dust off those stretchy pants. The tenth outing of Restaurant Month returns to the heart of the city this August with over 175 special menus, intriguing dining events, and plenty more reasons to simply go out and eat.
The Chef Dining series has always been a staple feature of the month-long celebration, hosting international chefs for collaborative dining experiences. This year, given the current border restrictions, the all-new Chef's Table series will see top local chefs cook up influential dishes in their own private dining rooms.
Baduzzi head chef Gideon Landman will serve up five Italian courses alongside owner Michael Dearth; Ebisu's Yukio Ozeki is preparing an omakase set menu at the waterfront Japanese restaurant; and Cassia owner Sid Sahrawat will host an exclusive dinner inspired by dishes from experiences at restaurants like Gaggan in Bangkok and Indian Accent in New Delhi.
Further highlights include Vivace's annual long lunch featuring five courses by award-winning chef Paolo Pancotti, and the Trelise Cooper fashion show led by a three-course lunch at Soul Bar & Bistro.
The special menus feature of Restaurant Month has something for all persuasions and wallet sizes. The '$15 or less' price point is new for 2020, while diners can also pick up affordable multi-course deals for $25, $40 and $55+.
