Overview
The food that has swept the world with popularity and deliciousness— these bite size morsels of ricey goodness are the makings of the perfect lunch, dinner or even breakfast. Auckland has a fair share of chain sushi joints around the city, however we thought it necessary to break down the top spots to get your sushi fix.
Tokyo Club
Located smack bang in the middle of Auckland's trendiest suburb, Tokyo Club offers both delicious sushi and Japanese food and is the perfect location to stop after work, pre or post cheeky drink in one of the many surrounding bars. Their offerings are simple yet beautifully crafted. It's sushi sure to keep the taste buds happy.

&Sushi
This colourful and trendy sushi spot has been turning heads for little over a year now. With picture perfect sushi on offer, it means ample Instagram opportunities pre-gorge. Your eyes will definitely be bigger than your stomach, as you wish to trial all the beautiful pieces on offer. The sushi not only looks unbelievably beautiful, it's also great tasting with some unique combinations.

Masu
For the sushi splash-out. Masu may not be the right spot for takeaways, but it is definitely one of the best spots for impressive sushi if one is wanting to make it more of an occasion. Situated in SkyCity, this is one of Auckland's best Japanese spots for anything raw-fish and rice related. Everything is guaranteed to be fresh and presented with all the adornments needed to showcase your love for sushi.

Janken
Janken is a cute unassuming wee spot on Jervois Road. Offering more than just sushi, this place takes Japanese cuisine with even more of a healthy twist. Fresh, simple and delicious, the perfect combination. Everything they have on offer is clean and healthy for the conscious sushi muncher, worth a trip for a quick and satisfying sushi experience.
158 Jervois Rd, Herne Bay
Ebisu
In busy downtown Britomart, Ebisu has been around for a long time. A fancy pit-stop for these perfect bite-sized morsels amongst other Japanese delights, one can spend a pretty penny trying to eat their way through this delectable menu. The sushi and sashimi will come out brimming with colour and flavour and presented elegantly in true Ebisu style.
116-118 Quay St, Britomart
Sushi Train
It may be a cliche, but I swear it's how they do it in Japan. Sushi Train in the viaduct means you can plonk yourself down and let the conveyer belt do all the deciding. Picking plate-by plate as it swings on past is a sure fire way to make sure you leave bursting at the seams of sushi-goodness. Best to come hungry and willing to try anything, as each plate offers a different option for you sushi aficionados.

Moto Sushi
A tried and true Parnell haunt, Moto has been a crowd favourite for years. Easy and quick means freshly made sushi on the go when your whipping past (provided you can find a park on the skinny Parnell streets). With all the western crowd favourites on offer as well as a few unique options for the Japanese lover it's the perfect pitstop to eat out casually or take away. Also a great BYO destination, if you like your sushi with a side of wine or sake.
305 Parnell Rd, Parnell
Namo
Saving the best, in my opinion, for last, Namo is a beautiful establishment with the freshest, cleanest and purest sushi and Japanese in Auckland. The head chef has an impressive resume, once hailing from the famous Nobu and creates the most incredible tasting morsels at a reasonable price too. You can indulge in-house or takeaway, and regardless of which it will look as picture perfect as the image. Namo takes a traditional approach ensuring to stay classic in their cuisine offerings, yet modern and pretty in their display.
