Overview

Pop-up patisserie Hundred Acre Food first taught us that dessert could and should be eaten across several courses. Now, bedraggled by the abundance of burger joints in Auckland, the masters of sweet have decided to launch their own pop-up taco joint.

Dan Freeman, Brandon Harper and Kyle Myburgh felt like the city was devoid of dedicated taco joints where you could quash cravings and avoid shelling-out half your pay check. Meaning 'let's go' in Spanish, Vamos intends to bring deliciousness to the world in the form of killer tacos, and with a reasonable price tag. All of Vamos' offerings will be available at: $15 for 3.

The pop-up is continuation of the ethos established with Hundred Acre Food— focussing on tastiness, curiosity and memories. "We love the idea of getting a bunch of people together in a room and letting them all take part in a memorable experience."

They're also hell-bent on introducing people to new and interesting taco flavours. Current menu items include: pork belly, chicken, beef brisket, and panko avocado— all with their own roll call of mouth-watering accompaniments like chipotle mayo, pork crackling, roasted walnuts and beetroot pickle.

There are three Vamos pop-ups currently scheduled to take place at St Kevins Arcade sandwich shop, Fort Greene, on April 21, 22 and May 19 from 6pm til late. Further pop-ups will be added to the Vamos website.
