Brothers Beer & Juke Joint BBQ | Piha
Pair low-and-slow barbecue and ice-cold brews with salty sea air — that's summer sorted.
Overview
Looking for a place to refuel after a surf, swim or walk on the North Island's rugged west coast this summer? We know a (new) spot. Mount Eden favourite Brothers Beer & Juke Joint BBQ has a brand new beachside location, ready to pair ice-cold brews and salty chips with salty sea air.
Found in the building that used to house the Piha Surf Lifesaving Club Restaurant, the new Brothers Juke Joint is slinging craft beers, local wines cocktails and authentic BBQ — all against that stunning backdrop of the giant waves and black sand beaches Piha is known for.
If you've spent the day battling the surf you'll be hankering for a feed, so that's where the Brothers' famous low-and-slow barbecue share plates come in — we highly recommend the beef brisket slathered with one of the impressive selections of sauces, along with some tater tots and mac n' cheese. At the new beachside location, there are also two specific Piha-only menu items to chow down on —a beer-battered fish and chips, and a classic wagyu beef and cheese burger on a brioche bun.
Our recommendation for day trippers? Park up on the deck to watch the sunset over the black sand beach while enjoying a refreshing beer, before making your way back to the city.
