If you put 'Mexico' into Google maps you might be told that you're approximately 11,000km away. The great news is Google maps are wrong. The masterminds behind Britomart's most popular Latina cocina, Mexico, have just opened up another Mexico in Ponsonby. This means fresh, unique, bang for-your-buck Mexican flavours are even closer than before.

The Ponsonby restaurant has all the quirks one has come to know and love about Mexico… an impressive array of Mexican arts, crafts and paraphernalia, stunning wall murals and even a neon shrine feature at the bar. The space is small but perfectly formed and we know you'll feel right at home here.

Mexico's menu is jam-packed full of delectable delights such as the prawn tacos ($6) and the empanada ($12). Don't forget a margarita or three or a nip of one of the many varieties of tequila on offer. The friendly wait and bar staff will be more than happy to sort you out.

With a restaurant in Britomart, Takapuna and now Ponsonby, it seems all roads lead to Mexico.
