Miann Morningside
The dessert mecca expands to Morningside with a new luxury restaurant.
Overview
From the flagship store on Fort Street to the inner city hotspot in Britomart Square, Miann has built up an impressive reputation in Auckland over its past three years. Consistently adapting to meet Auckland's sweet tooth demands, subsequently Miann has had to spill over the central business district fridge and charter new suburban territory to serve gelato sticks, florescent bon bons, mousse gateaux and inventive macarons.
Arisen from over 15 years of experience and an in-depth understanding of Auckland's gastronomic landscape, husband-and-wife duo Brian and Roselle Campbell bring us Morningside's new luxury dessert restaurant.
Placing the community at the epicentre of its focus, Miann's latest outpost is set to be a crowd pleaser with suburban dwellers and the likes. Hosting communal tables in an outdoor courtyard area, Miann welcomes in the midday trade from local offices and the influx of eager eyes amongst the after-school rush.
Worth mentioning is the latest addition to the Miann venture. Aptly dubbed The Chocolate Factory, guests are encouraged to explore the space adjacent to the main store, which is soon to host chocolate workshops and tastings. In the meantime, patrons can enjoy viewing the intricate mechanics that are the workings behind each sweet delight. We recommend savouring the aroma of raw cocoa beans and viewing the impressive chocolate tap inbuilt to the polished marble counter.
The Chocolate Factory extension has more in store for Miann than extra seating. The boutique is taking a giant stride into the realm of producing their very own chocolate. The husband and wife duo are convinced this is going to take Miann to the next level and are brimming ideas for the near future.
With cushion laden booths for you kick-back on or takeaway boxes at the ready for those pressed for time, Morningside's Miann is prepared to cater to all.
