Overview

The legendary women of Australia and New Zealand's booze scene are about to get their own big thumbs up, with Sydney playing host to the first-ever drinks festival dedicated entirely to local female talent.

Fittingly kicking off on International Women's Day (Friday, March 8), the two-day festival takes over Australian Technology Park, put together by retailers Cellarmasters and BWS. And it's set to showcase the trailblazing, stereotype-smashing ladies behind some of your favourite tipples.

Across three delicious sessions, a lineup of over 30 brewers, winemakers and distillers will be showing off their finest for you to taste, while you meet and chat with the talented makers.

Catch booze guns including Jayne Lewis and Danielle Allen from Two Birds Brewing, Applewood Distillery's Laura Carter, Quealy Winemakers' Kathleen Quealy, Dandelion's Elena Brooks, Janelle Zerk from Z Wines, and Jaz Wearin of Modus Operandi fame, plus plenty more.

And, if you're keen to learn a few new tips and tricks, you'll also find a series of expert-led masterclasses available to book at extra cost. Tickets start from $50, which includes your own stemless tasting glass, sips and samples from all of the producers, and more.
