Got a mate who is mildly obsessed with dressing their pup up for Christmas? You best flick this event their way. The Welcome to Thornbury folks are rewarding such dog owners from 12–3pm on Sunday, December 17 with a Merry Dogs of Darebin party.
The dog-friendly bar is giving away treats to all the four-legged attendees, throwing a competition for the best-dressed pooch and letting you take some snaps in the festive photo booth. For many, this might seem like overkill, but dog lovers are another breed — and we totally understand this energy.
Human food will be on the cards as well, with 400 Gradi and Mr Burger food trucks parked out back in the sun-soaked beer garden. Throughout the day, the team will also be collecting donations for the Lost Dogs Home, spreading the puppy love this Christmas.
You don't have to be a dog owner to attend Merry Dogs of Darebin at Welcome to Thornbury. You can just rock up for the food, drinks and people (and pet)-watching.
