Tableware Label Mesa Collections Opens Cosy Cafe and Co-Working Space for Solo Creatives
Residents have a dedicated desk and after-hours access to the airy space.
Mesa Collections founder Trishia Mariano has been designing whimsical table linens and silverware since the pandemic years. This September, the queen of hosting is putting her creations to work in Mesa Haus, a new specialty cafe and co-working space in Paddington.
While Mesa Haus will operate as a regular cafe in its early days, a co-working programme that connects solo creatives is in the works. Mesa Residency will open its space for artists, writers, makers, and others to host intimate after-hours events.
Plus, residents can grab complimentary coffees and work alongside other creatives at a dedicated baby-blue desk – Wi-Fi is free, of course, and an iMac can be added if their setup requires it.
Expect seasonal drinks featuring housemade syrups and foams, alongside pastries from the well-loved Sprout Bakery.
An ube-and-condensed-milk combo is whipped into cold foam and layered over Code Black cold brew, while butterfly pea and oat milk create a colour-changing ceremonial matcha drink.
Floating wooden shelves are stocked with Mesa Collections tableware, so fans can shop the Melbourne-based tableware label here too. Mariano hopes to expand the edit over time with friends, collaborators, and other independent brands.
Mesa Haus is open from Tuesday–Sunday, 7am–1pm (7.30am on Saturday) at 33 La Trobe Terrace, Paddington.
