Overview

Following their sellout 2011 season, A Festival Of Russian Ballet, the Imperial Russian Ballet Company are back in Australia with their performance of Charles Perrault and Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm’s beloved children’s tale, Sleeping Beauty.

Sleeping Beauty follows the ill-fated story of Princess Aurora who, after being cursed to die from a needle-prick at age sixteen by the evil fairy Carabosse, falls into a deep sleep until, a hundred years later, a handsome prince stumbles upon her, and breaks the spell with a single kiss.

Combining the unity and excellence of great Russian ballet schools the Imperial Russian Ballet Company will perform with grace and beauty.
