Overview

For one night only, Alternative Symphony is coming to Brisbane to play Daft Punk's greatest hits — with an orchestral spin. It's bringing together a full orchestra, assisted by DJs, drums, live vocalists and MCs. As with all electro events, expect immersive visuals and an elaborate light show.

Due to their unique sound, as well as their visual style — combining ornate helmets and gloves to create robot personas — Daft Punk have become one of the most influential modern electronica acts. In addition to their exceptional TRON: Legacy score, the French duo has released four studio albums. The most recent, Random Access Memories, not only featured guest appearances from Pharrell Williams, Niles Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder, but also won Album of the Year at the Grammys.

After performing the Daft Punk Orchestral Rendition show in the UK this year, Alternative Symphony will bring An Orchestral Rendition of Daft Punk: Greatest Hits to The Valley Drive In on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Tickets are on sale now — and this'll be a unique dance/classical cross-over night out.
