The awesome name is just the beginning.

Overview

There might seem like there's a dedicated night for every kind of music — and there probably is — however don't let that keep you away from The Foundry's latest regular series. That'd be Brisbabes, the evening that not only has an awesome name, but also shines a light on the lovely local ladies enlivening the city's music scene.

The first female-centric celebration rocked The Foundry back in October, proving such a hit that it's back for another outing. This time, Sahara Beck, Avaberee, Love Signs and Alla Spina will take the stage, with DJ Black Amex and Sezzo Snot spinning tunes between sets.

They'll bring a dash of indie folk, some post-synth pop, and a little ska punk to the talent showcase, with one aim in mind: making sure Brisbabes #2 is bigger and better than its predecessor. They'll also champion a spirit of inclusivity, because while the fairer sex's music antics might be the main attraction, everyone is welcome.
