Overview

When we take that first sip of our barista brewed coffee on a workday morning we often say to ourselves, and our friends, "I can't imagine living without coffee". Well what about living without a roof over your head or a guaranteed meal? Unfortunately this is what many homeless people around Australia face each day but on Friday 7 June you can help out simply by purchasing a coffee as part of CafeSmart.

CafeSmart is an annual event from StreetSmart that raises money and awareness for the homeless and is back for its third year running, aiming to build on the $74,477 raised last year. $1 from every coffee purchased at a participating café will be donated towards local projects, so if your café is not participating, head to one that is just for one day. You can also donate at the counter so if you prefer a hot chocolate then you can still help out. Just remember that sometimes it is the little things that make a big difference, so drink a coffee and do some good.
