Usually, there's no need to dress up yum cha. We all know what it is. We all love it as it is. We're all down to feast our way through barbecue pork buns, plum glazed duck pancakes, spring rolls, pork and prawn dumplings, and whatever other bites happen to be on the menu. But La La Land at The Prince Consort has given its upcoming yum cha spread a theme anyway — and it's going disco.
Get ready to settle in for a long disco yum cha lunch from 12–6pm on Sunday, June 5. Get ready to eat plenty, and also enjoy a disco soundtrack. You'll munch, you'll dance and you'll ignore the fact that the weekend has almost come to an end, with wine, beer and cocktail pairings on the menu as well.
There are two types of tickets on offer: a $70 option which covers lunch and the tunes, and a $115.01 version that also includes drinks.
And as for who'll be setting the mood, Vinyl Slingers members DJ Rasp and Bushboy will hit the decks, while drums show Superjam will also do the honours — plus DJs Chantal and Coolhand Luke.
