Easter High Tea at Belle Époque
Emporium's French patisserie is bringing a taste of Europe to this year's Easter festivities.
There's never a bad time to treat yo'self to high tea, but Easter is one of the best. Plenty of spots around town celebrate the occasion with exactly that kind of spread — and, with its antique stained-glass windows and vintage chandelier, Belle Époque at Emporium is one of them.
So, what makes this high tea stand out? Firstly, there's the fact that it's available for more than just a few days. In past years, the French patisserie's offering has proven popular, so it's hanging around for a month this time around. Tuck in daily from 10.30am–2.30pm between Wednesday, March 15–Wednesday, April 12.
Then, there's the menu, which is bringing a taste of Europe to this year's Easter festivities. Savoury bites include roasted baby carrot frittata, marinated prawn on rye, caramelised onion and potato cheese tart, and pork and pistachio terrine with beetroot relish — and the sweet range spans chocolate chip scones, a chocolate egg nest, bunny cookies and an edible garden.
For your $80 ticket, the high tea also comes with a hefty range tea and coffee. Plus, if you feel like something boozy, you can add a glass of sparkling or champagne on top.
