Left Behind — Merge Dance Theatre
Conveying untold tales through dance.
Overview
For those who haven't been there, there's much that's simply unimaginable about war, including fighting on the front lines and being left behind. It's the latter that Merge Dance Theatre explores in their latest work. Through the medium of dance, they'll bring to life the untold tales of women waiting for their loved ones to return.
It's a different kind of ANZAC story, staged by a different kind of dance group, with Merge endeavouring to bridge the gap between dance schools and professional companies. And, at a time when everyone's enjoying a break from work, it's a reminder of the sacrifices behind our way of living.
