Like a Hurricane: A Tribute to Neil Young

There'll be rockin' in the free world on April 28 — or, at The Triffid, to be exact. The Newstead venue is throwing one of their now-legendary celebrations of absolutely legendary musicians. In the spotlight this time is the man that keeps searchin' for a heart of gold, Neil Young.

Halfway, Good Oak, Dana, Gehrman & The Honey Sliders, Phil Smith & The Lights and The Predators are on the bill at Like a Hurricane: A Tribute to Neil Young, and the latter is particularly exciting. The local rockers feature Haugie and JC from Powderfinger — well, the latter does own the joint, after all.

They'll all do their best to do justice to Young's enormous array of tracks, and they'll keep The Triff's tribute series flowing. Previous gigs have showered the love on Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, The Cure, Pink Floyd, The Clash, Metallica, Iggy Pop, The Go-Betweens and Radiohead. Yep, these shows are always something special.
