Overview

When there's an occasion worth celebrating, Brisbane Quarter joins in. So, now that Lunar New Year is upon us for 2024, the inner-city precinct is doing just that. The CBD spot is marking the Year of the Dragon with a day of roving lion dances and — in great news for your stomach — special menu options for a couple of weeks.

For the dances, you'll need to make a date on Friday, February 9. The performances are free, taking place at 12.30pm and 6.30pm.

Between Friday, February 9–Thursday, February 22, gathering the gang is recommended at Brisbane Phoenix. The restaurant is doing indulgent group feasts across the two weeks, including a ten-course version for six or ten people — for $1288 and $2088 respectively. On the menu: flaming lobster, braised abalone, pan-fried M9 wagyu with beluga caviar, and steamed coral trout with ginger and shallots.

Fancy an a la carte selection instead? The above Lunar New Year specials are all on offer by the dish, too — while banquet diners only can enjoy flying fish caviar and steamed scampi.
